Dangers in Paradise is a Santa Cruz County preparedness initiative.
The first two years of Dangers
in Paradise focused on a CERT Muster and Preparedness Fair. The Dangers in Paradise - 2009 initiative expanded to include participation in the state-wide Great California ShakeOut, marking the 20th anniversary of the October 17, 1989 Santa Cruz County Loma Prieta earthquake, participation in a wide array of county activities marking the 20th anniversary of the October 17, 1989 Santa Cruz County Loma Prieta earthquake and a CERT Muster and Preparedness Fair.
